Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.-
The first file corresponds to the Declaration of Originality filled in by all the authors.
- The second file is the first page which includes the title, authors (affiliation), ORCID, CRediT, abstract, keyword, funding, acknowledgements.
- The third file is the main document, which includes the title, abstract, and keywords (Spanish, English, Portuguese), plus the full text according to the specifications of the section written anonymously.
- According to the provisions of Law No, the author or authors declare that they are original and exclusive owners of the author's economic and moral rights over the article. The creation of the article, either totally or partially, declares to have the respective authorizations or licenses for the use of their respective owners or that its use is expressly protected by any of the exceptions established in the Law.
- The author or authors expressly release the Revista Chilena de Enfermería de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Chile from any further liability for any legal, regulatory or contractual infraction that it eventually commits or has committed about the Work, forcing itself to repair it. Any damage resulting from the infringement of these or other rights.

That, using this act, the author or authors authorize the Revista Chilena de Enfermería de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Chile, by itself or through third parties expressly authorized by it, to exercise the rights that are specified below, regarding the article sent:
i) Publication, edition, reproduction, adaptation, distribution, and sale of the reproduced copies, including the making available to the public online by electronic or digital means, of the article in Spanish, in all known territories, whether Spanish-speaking or not. , and for all types of printed paper and electronic or digital editions, through its inclusion in the Revista Chilena de Enfermería de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Chile or another publication edited by the Center.
ii) This authorization is granted on a non-exclusive, unrestricted, indefinite, perpetual and non-revocable basis. At the same time, the corresponding rights subsist and release the Revista Chilena de Enfermería de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Chile from any payment or remuneration for the exercise of the rights above. - The author(s) agree to submit to the editorial rules established by the Revista Chilena de Enfermería.
Editorial
They are articles written by the editor, a member of the Editorial Committee, or a guest researcher on current issues and scientific interests and orientations in the thematic domain of the journal. With a maximum of 1,000 words.
Letters to the Editor
Criticism and analysis of documents published in the magazine are included in this section. The editorial committee considers it a contribution to the discussion of the topic by the scientific community. The magazine reserves the right to edit the material if necessary due to extension, grammatical correction, and style, which will be reported before publication.
Research articles
They are unpublished articles corresponding to the results of original scientific research. The main document must have a maximum length of 5,000 words (excluding references) and contain a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 50 references. If they are more minor investigations, they may be published as Brief Originals with a reduced length, according to the editorial decision.
Review Article
Review articles correspond to a scientific discussion of the state of art in one of the development issues of the journal. This section must review papers from the last five years, considering at least 80% of the articles from ISI journals and the remaining percentage from SciELO. This type of document, in its structure, must contain an abstract and keywords. This brief introduction describes the main topic, subsections corresponding to the discussion, acknowledgments, and references, according to indications of review articles.
Reflection Article
It results from an investigation with an analytical, interpretive, or critical view of the author about a specific topic based on sources. It contains a summary, introduction, methodology, issues for reflection, and conclusions. The document must have a maximum of 3,000 words (excluding references) and include a maximum of 20 references.
