Methodological Procedures for the Definition of Residential Areas in Rural Zones

Abstract

The complexity of the research aiming at diagnosing the functioning and characteristics of the physical and socioeconomic milieu in a region, requires the use of flexible methodological procedures which would ensure obtaining the necessary information at reasonable costs and time. The aim is to facilitate the use of the data when implementing plans and programs to improve the life quality in rural areas. Delimiting the residential areas in a rural environment is one such complex cases that need urgent access to reliable information in order to state these areas in a rational and informed way. A proposal us thus made which suggests ways and considerations which would facilitate getting hold of the essential data.
