The paper analyzes the current relationship between legal education and the social reality surrounding that teaching. Particularly, it breaks down how the teaching is carried out the didactic triad why, how and what to teach in the current Chilean universities. The analysis shows the existence of a fossilized didactic of law, based on the teaching of legal regulations and free of problematization and complexity. In this situation, the proposal is to introduce a new didactic of law, conceived as an activity and not as mere transmission of knowledge. In this respect, the new didactic would be much more in line with the wealth of current society.
