Considering the advances and transformations observed in the world in the last decades, the goal of this paper is to provide an updated vision of academic institutions in public health, with a global perspective, in Latin America. In this context, academic institutions must face new challenges which require greater collaboration, innovation and adaptation to new scenarios and paradigms. Institutions of higher education and their partners must serve as catalyzers of a rapid, urgent and just transition toward the sustainability and innovation, establishing a radical agenda to promote alliances and incentives. Transformation is the key concept to achieve this goal and require new knowledge and competencies. In summary, the education in public health in Latin America require innovation and collaboration through interdisciplinary approaches, greater social justice and institutional sustainability to contribute to a more equitable, inclusive and resilient future for all.
